1st Annual Red’s Run for Kenilworth Schools

About the event

 

Red’s Run for the Kenilworth Schools is a rain or shine event that begins and ends on the David Brearley Middle / High School Track.  The event is a benefit for the students of the Kenilworth Schools and all proceeds will be used to fund mini-grants and special projects which go beyond the district budget.  The run takes all participants through the Borough of Kenilworth.  Registration/Packet Pickup begins at 7:00 am and the race/fun run/walk begins at 8:30. 

 

About Dave “Red” Curtin

Red’s Run for the Kenilworth Schools is run in memory of Dave “Red” Curtin.  Red was a longtime resident of Kenilworth who served and positively impacted the schools as a teacher, coach, Board of Education member, as well as a member of the Kenilworth Schools Education Foundation Board.  Curtin made an extraordinary difference in many young peoples’ lives, and he was truly loved by all of his former players, students and colleagues. He left an indelible mark on all those to whom he taught, worked with and coached. He was a uniquely gifted individual.

Red’s Run aims to continue Dave’s legacy by celebrating his spirit through the streets of Kenilworth and further benefit the school community he served.
