Red, White & Run - Sulphur

Westlake, Louisiana Lace up for a day out at the Pinederosa Park located at 2901 Westwood Road, Westlake, Louisiana 70669. West Calcasieu Chamber of Commerce hosts the 2nd Annual Red, White & Run 5K to bring the community together. Join us Saturday, April 30, 2022. Come for the run. Stay for the festival. The Chamber Fest will feature a 5K run, followed by golf tournament, long drive competition, Veteran tribute, an outdoor festival with food trucks, vendor booths, live music and so much more family fun. The West Calcasieu Chamber of Commerce aims to provide a voice for economic, educational, social and public growth in our region.   Registration Fees February 26 - April 1 = $40, includes t-shirt April 2 - April 27 = $45, shirt is not guaranteed Register on race day = $50, shirt is not guaranteed

 

Packet Pick-Up
Packet Pickup will be available on Friday, April 29th & Saturday, April 30th in Freedom Hall at Pinederosa Park. 
Registered participants need photo identification and the confirmation receipt from RunSignUp.com for packet pick-up. Proxy pickup is allowed for immediate family members, husband/wife/sibling, with identification.

Awards will be issued to the following categories:
●      Overall male and female
●      Top male and female runners (1st place & 2nd place)in each age group: 19 years and younger, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and older   Weather
If there is lightning in the area, the race will either have a delayed start; route may be altered, or depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled.  If fog present, the visibility will determine if delayed start is necessary. The Race Director will make the determination.
If race is cancelled due to inclement weather notification of cancellation will be sent to registered participants via email and posted on the Chamber Fest 2022 Facebook event page.   Electronic Timing & Results

Bib Assignments
●      Each runner will be issued a bib number at Packet Pick-Up. It is the responsibility of the runner to wear the bib during the race.
●      Race bibs are to be worn on front of abdominal area throughout the race.
●      Runners without bib numbers while on the course will be removed for security reasons.
●      Please remember to fill out the Emergency Medical Information on the bib number.
 
Parking
Parking for the 5K is available at First Baptist Church (2617 Westwood Rd.) Carpooling is recommended.  We encourage courteous behavior toward our neighbors; refrain from parking in grass or on the streets. No parking at the golf course nor on National Drive, Louisiana Way, or Westwood Drive.

From Lake Charles:
●      Travel west on I-10 toward Texas
●      Take exit 27 for LA-378 toward Sampson St.
●      Turn left onto Sampson St. (Sampson turns into Westwood Rd)
●      Church on left before park Texas:
●      Travel east on I-10 toward Lake Charles.
●      Take exit 27 for LA-378 toward Sampson St.
●     Turn left onto Sampson St. (Sampson turns into Westwood Rd)
●      Church on left before park
