John’s Run/Walk Shop and Lexington’s Division of Environmental Services present, the second annual Virtual Reforest 5k! Race proceeds will help raise money to purchase trees for this year’s Reforest the Bluegrass event. With your help, we hope to plant hundreds of trees after the race, and thousands more during Reforest the Bluegrass.

All race participants will receive a t-shirt, sustainability swag from Live Green Lexington, a custom finisher medal, and tree to plant at home after their run or walk. Check out our handy guide for picking out the best tree for your space! Participants can also choose to have their tree planted on their behalf at a 2021 Reforest the Bluegrass event.

While we may be virtual, we’re still very excited to allow our racers the opportunity to run their race at Hisle Farm Park! Participants will be able to pick their own starting line, finish line, and course, and can run at any time between March 20th, and March 28th. If participants would like to run the original course at Hisle Farm Park, we will have signage out on the course for certain days during the race window. More details on this as we get closer to race date! If you do choose to run your race at Hisle, make sure to follow all of their rules, hours, and guidelines so we can keep it beautiful and safe!

Come run with us to help Reforest the Bluegrass!
