Renea's 5k run/ 3k Walk

Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is a disorder that can lead to easy or excessive bruising and bleeding. The bleeding results from unusually low levels of platelets — the cells that help blood clot. In some people, the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys platelets. Some symptoms include: easy bruising, superficial bleeding, bleeding from nose or gums, and an unusual heavy menstrual flow. There is no cure for ITP and not a lot of recognition for it. My mother has struggled with ITP since 2005, and the money raised from the walk/race will go to the ITP foundation. This 3K walk 5K run is dedicated to my mother.
