Rock ‘n’ Roll Washington DC

I'm 82 years old and my wife & I like to travel. I try to find 5 or 6 half marathons a year that are spaced enough to allow me to train, run the race, recover and begin the cycle again. I try to schedule the Rock n Roll races first. In 2017 I ran the RnR in Nashville, San Diego & Montreal. This year I ran Washington RnR and I'm registered to run RnR in Dublin & San Antonio. Washington RnR was a great experience from the registration, organized starting line, route through the city, safety, water and finish line control. My only disappointment. My only disappointment is that it has been over 4 months since the Washington RnR race and I have not received my age group award. I guess at 82 years old I don't have the patience I used to have. {BF}

Great route through the city and well organized from starting line to the finish line.

It was my first marathon and in the nation capital (US). The course led through the city. The crowd support was great and water stations well placed. The race was a little more expensive than other local marathons but it's well worth the money.
