Rockford Fire 911 3K Run/Walk

The Rockford Fire Department welcomes you to participate in the 20th Annual Rockford Fire Department 911 - 3K Run/Walk.

This event was formed to bring Fire and Medical prevention education to our community. 911 is symbolic in alerting your emergency and allows us to educate adults and children with its purpose. As you notice, our start time also carries the same significance (9:11am).  Proceeds are utilized to educate our community in fire prevention, safety, and risk reduction. Many age groups from toddlers to senior citizens will benefit from our programs. Rockford Fire has direct contact with over 60,000 people per year and reach many more through the use of social media and public service announcements. Rockford Fire utilizes many training aids to provide fire and medical education to our community. 

In addition to fire safety education, part of the proceeds of this event will be used to fund the Illinois Fire Safety Alliances' "Camp I Am Me". The IFSA has held this special and unforgettable camping experience for young children who have sustained burns, providing them with a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere to help build their self-confidence and self-esteem. All runners will receive a blended fabric race shirt (Shirts only guaranteed with registration through May 23rd). Youth sizes (M, L, XL) are also available. There is an option to purchase additional race shirts located in the STORE on the race website.

Following the race there will be a free Kids Fun Run for children ages 8 and under (details on the event page).

 

Packet pick-up and late registration will be held at Fleet Feet Sports Rockford (1653 N. Alpine Rd., Rockford, IL) on Friday, May 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM 

After 5/28, all swag can be picked up at Rockford Fire Department Headquarters located at 204 S First Street. Please call ahead to schedule pickup.

Day of registration at the race site from 7:30 am to 8:30 am.  *There will be no late registration after 8:30 am on race day.              

                                         

The race will start on N Trainer Rd behind Target and proceed through the Midway Village path. Free parking will be available at Target 6560 E State Street, Rockford, IL 61108
