About the event
About This Activity: Join us for the 2nd Annual Root for Love 5K. When you register for this race you are helping Because of Kennedy (www.becauseofkennedy.org) care for orphans and empower the vulnerable in Ethiopia. This beautiful flat and fast course is USATF certified. This course is perfect for all fitness levels.
Event Details and Schedule: This run/walk event will be held on April 13, 2019 on the Silver Comet Trail - Hiram Trailhead (401 Seaboard Ave, Hiram, GA 30141). The run/walk will start at 8:00 am and will be held rain or shine. The silver Comet Trail - Hiram Trailhead is adjacent to Homer Leggett Memorial Park and Hiram Hounds Dog Park; there are nice restrooms, water fountains, covered picnic tables, a playground and the original caboose. Plan on bringing your family, friends, dogs and have a great time!!! The silver comet will not be closed for this event so please remember to watch for other trail runners and bikers.
Registration: We will have race day registration starting at 7:00 am. Packet pick up will be Friday April 14, 2019 (More details to follow).
Parking: There is plenty of free parking at or near the trailhead. Restrooms are available at the Homer Leggett Park adjacent to the trailhead. (401 Seaboard Ave, Hiram, GA 30141).
