About the event
Now in its 10th year, the RSD River Ramble 5K race begins and ends on the campus of the Rochester School for the Deaf and "rambles" through the beautiful Maplewood Rose Garden Park and along the breathtaking Genesee Riverway Trail. This is a USATF Certified Route #NY12108KL. Medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male, female and youth finishers in 10-year age categories.
Participants also have an option of walking a two-mile course along this trail, or venturing on the shorter one-mile "Family Fun Walk" to the Rose Garden Park and back.
All are invited back to the campus afterwards for a family-friendly reception that includes plenty of free food, live ASL-interpreted music by "Free Agent," free kids games (including a dunk tank and bounce house) and prizes, Deaf-friendly vendors/crafters, raffles and much more! Bring a school supply to donate (pens, pencils, pads, markers, binders, etc) to be entered into a drawing.
Plenty of free on-campus parking.
Note: Vendors and not-for-profit organizations can sign up for a sales/info table/booth by clicking on the "Store" tab toward the top of this screen.
