The Half-Marathon starts on the Bay Street Esplanade nest to the Prime Ministers Office and alongside the magnificent Carlisle Bay. The mostly flat route winds through the streets of the UNESCO World Heritage designated streets of Bridgetown, passes the Kensington Oval and then follows the coastal Spring Garden Highway and west coast road as it heads to the Paynes Bay turnaround point. The route offers spectaular vistas of the Caribbean Sea from various vantage points along the course. After the turnaround the route retraces its out path to Bay Street where runners can cross the finish line and run into the crystal waters of Carlisle Bay. Fully stocked aid stations and steel pan music offered along the course!
The Colombian Emeralds Intl 10K is the oldest 10K in the Caribbean with first race being run in 1983. The route starts at the beautiful Bay Street Esplanade, winds through the streets of the capital city, Bridgetown, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site and after a spectacular view across Brandon’s Bay form the Spring Garden Highway returns to the Esplanade. Flat route, with water stations and steel pan music.
