The mission of the Run for a New Tomorrow 5k is to raise community awareness of mental health conditions, suicide prevention, intervention and survivor services provided by the Crisis Intervention & Recovery Center of Stark County, and to supplement funding to support crisis intervention and stabilization services.

Run for a New Tomorrow 5K Glow Run Fact Sheet

This years event will be a NIGHT time Glow Run
Upon signing up for the race you will have the option to buy a sky lantern that will be lit during the race
There will also be luminaries lit along the race course. If you are walking please feel free to bring flashlights.
Time: 8:30 PM Kids Run (100 yards) & ¼ mile dash (1 lap around stadium track)
9:00 PM Run for a New Tomorrow 5K (Run & Walk)
Register early from Feb1-April1 and the cost for a timed entry is $20. An untimed entry is $15.
Registration after April 1st will be a cost of $25 for a timed entry and $20 for an untimed entry.

Registration on May 15 will be available on-site from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Early Packet Pick Up ( located in the Auxilary Gymnasium at Glen Oak High School)

Registration on May 16 will be available on-site from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm

No charge for 11 and under kids/ youth run
On line registration will close at 1pm on race day (May 16, 2015 )

All Goody Bags will contain a wicking Race T Shirt and a glow stick
Race T Shirts will not be guaranteed after May 4th at 11:59pm due to ordering policies, so please register prior to May 4th to ensure you receive a race shirt.

Affiliation: 2014 Subway™ Ohio Challenge Series

Course: The course is a 3.2 mile run/walk beginning and ending at the Golden Eagle Stadium at Glen Oak High School. The path will encompass local streets and the athletic track inside the stadium.
Please note everyone that is on the course must be registered and have a bib. Walkers are not timed.

Glow tent with fun glow in the dark novelties will also be available for purchase
Best Glow in the Dark Costume CONTEST for 1. The largest group or team and 2. Best or most creative themed glow in the dark costume. Winners will be judged and announced after the race.

Awards: Medals for top male and female finishers in each age group
