Gingerbread Man Running Company presents the Labor Day Half Marathon on Sunday September 6, 2020 that will support Autism Connection of Pennsylvania. Learn more about them at https://autismofpa.org Minus race costs, all profit goes to the charity. We have events for the whole family. Runners can take on our half marathon course, 10k, or 5k.
NEW for 2020, we will be introducing a Rucking division. This is an offical https://goruck.com race. Learn more about it at https://www.goruck.com/rucking-101. All participants will receive a GORUCK patch and the top 3 male and female participants will get an award! The requirements: Wear a Ruck/backpack with the standard weight-10# for participants 150 lbs. and under, and 20# for those over 150 lbs. Your ruck will be weighed at the beginning of the race. No participants will be weighed, weight requirements are on the honor system
Registration and parking will take place at the Youngwood Fire, with a short walk to the race start. Please consider donating to our local fire department, as they were an integral part of making our race a success! You can do this online when you register.

There is a 3 1/2 hour cap on the half marathon, so it’s a run only course. Participants may walk or ruck the 5k and 10k course. Awards will go to the fastest time for runners and ruck participants. There are no separate awards for walkers.

The Half Marathon begins at 7:30, followed by the 5k and 10k shortly after. Registration opens at 6:00 a.m. Awards to follow. All participants will receive a race T-shirt if registered by 8/23/2020. Late registrations will be offered a previous year’s shirt. Half marathon participants will also receive a finisher medal. Award medals given to top male/female and age group for each event, plus top 3 male/female ruck participants. (no separate walker awards)
Grab your friends and create a team! The largest team registered wins a team award on race day. Get a group together, give yourselves a fun name, and register to win!
Packet pickup information will be posted a week before the race on our Facebook event page, and an email will be sent out to all participants with pertinent information.
