Run for Global Education 5K

Join us on April 8 for the fifth annual Run for Global Education 5K.  This event is in support of Gray’s Creek Middle School's global focus and student travel.  This year’s students are traveling to London, Italy, and France.

The race course is flat and will start and end at GCMS.  Plan to stay after the race for door prizes, snacks, and photos. There will also be a display about students’ upcoming travels.

All ages and levels are encouraged to participate.  Walkers and runners welcome!

Runner Referrals--Earn money back for each person you refer

Enjoy a $2 refund for each runner you refer to our race! Here's how:

1. Sign up online for the Run for Global Education 5K.

2. Receive a referral link in your confirmation email. This link is unique to you.

3. Share the link with others and get them to sign up for our race.

4. Enjoy a $2 refund for each referral who registers (up to $20).  This will automatically be refunded to the credit card with which you initially paid when the race is completed.

Awards

Awards will be given for top male and female finisher, as well as age group categories.

Top male and female are awarded a custom paperweight and a $50 gift certificate to Green Side Up.

All age group winners receive a $20 gift card to Academy Sports + Outdoors.

There will also be a cash drawing for first-time participants.

Course Description

Race will begin at the back of Gray's Creek Middle School.  Runners will travel on Celebration Drive, turning left on Thistle Gold.  When Thistle Gold ends, turn left on Lady, then right on Calbaletta.  Right on Gentleman Drive, right on Lady, then left on Thistle Gold.  A final left on Walking Trail Way will lead walkers and runners back to the middle school and the finish line.  A cyclist will ride in front of the lead runners.
