For 50 years, Hope For Youth has provided services for children, youth and families, spanning a continuum of care from out-patient, clinical and preventive services, to foster care, diagnostic and emergency residential services. The organization works with children as young as birth through 21 across the Long Island region. With locations in Amityville NY, Bellmore NY, Farmingdale NY, Bayshore NY and Seaford NY Hope For Youth continues to grow to meet the needs of Long Island communities! With six residential facilities, over 40 foster homes and 150 staff members, Hope For Youth has grown into one of Long Island’s preeminent providers of services for children and families.
The Hope For Youth Shelter provides a safe, supportive and secure environment for all Suffolk County youth between the ages of 12 and 20 who find themselves in crisis and need a haven. The Runaway and Homeless Shelter is a coed, short term, nine-bed facility. The Shelter provides a safe and therapeutic environment to assess the safety, medical, and treatment needs of the youth. The goal of this program is to plan with the family for reunification when appropriate and/or other more permanent resources that can provide permanent housing to the youth.
