Join us on Saturday, September 10th at 8:00 AM at the University of Southern Indiana to help raise money to support ‘Road to Mafraq’, a non- profit dedicated to providing education for Syrian refugee children living in Jordan. We will be hosting a 5k Run as well as a 1 mile Run/Walk in addition to a community fair.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 to support the education of Syrian refugee children attending our partner “tented” schools in the Eastern Zataari region of Jordan along the Syrian border. The money will specifically go toward building a playground for the children and helping to fund operational expenses for the schools. Many of these children have not attended school in over 3 years and have no safe place to play in their community. Their classrooms are tents. Their seats, tiny cushions. Their desks, plastic stools. We believe all children should have the opportunity to learn, play, and dream, regardless of their circumstances.
Want to donate to our cause but can’t make it to the race? See the Donations button at the top of your screen to donate! Also, any race participants who set up their own fundraiser and raises $100 or more will get their race fee refunded!
