Run for the Donuts 5K

The Run for the Donuts 5K is a walk/run hosted by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #56 and the Wives Behind the Blue-Montgomery County, Police Wives Organization. Proceeds from this 5K will benefit Shop with a Cop and The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. This will be one "sweet" race that you don't want to miss!!

An Awards Ceremony will be held after the race.  The following awards will be presented at that time:

The Trooper Anson Blake Tribby Memorial Award will be presented to the participant with the overall best time based on their "gun time". 

Cash prizes will be presented to the first, second, and third place overall male and female participants based on their "gun time".

Medals will be presented to the first, second, and third place male and female participants in each age division based on each finishers "chip time".  Click here or navigate to the FAQ page for details.

Everyone gets free donuts at the finish of the race from Buzz Cup Donuts!!!!

FAQ

1.  Are folks of all ages eligible to participate?  Yes, all ages are permitted and welcome.

2.  Are vendors permitted?  We have booth availability for all Gold Medal Sponsors as part of the Gold Sponsorship package.  If you are interested in sponsoring our event, please go to the Sponsorship tab for details and to access the commitment form.

3.  Is walking permitted?  Absolutely! 

4.  Are strollers or dogs permitted?  Participants with strollers or dogs MUST start BEHIND all the runners and walkers and must be personally responsible for any strollers or dogs and not disrupt any other participant on the course. NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES ARE PERMITTED.

5. Will there be awards for age groups?  Yes, the top 3 male & female finishers in the following age groups will an award based on their "chip time".

12 & under 13-15 16-19 20-24 25-29 30-34 35-39 40-44 45-49 50-54 55-59 60-64 65-69 70 & over

 

Registration Packet Pick-up

You will be able to pick up your registration packets at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #56, 611 Richmond Ave., Mt. Sterling on Friday, October 7th between 4:00 -7:00 p.m.!

Dear Sir or Madam: 

I am writing you concerning a sponsorship opportunity for the 2016 “Run for the Donuts 5K” hosted by the Wives Behind the Blue; Police Wives Organization and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #56. This 5K will benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund as well as Shop with a Cop here in Mount Sterling.

We feel that this sponsorship will give you the opportunity to network as well as show your support for local Law Enforcement.  This year with the support of your company, along with others, we will be able to donate additional funding to local children in need through Shop with a Cop, as well as provide funding to support the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.  Sadly, the National LEO Memorial Fund is in need of donations due to the recent rise in the death toll of Officers around the U.S., as well as right here in Kentucky, who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We want to help support those families that have lost their hero and are financially burdened.

We hope to have more than 300 volunteers and spectators in attendance, and the event will be covered by the local newspaper as well as WKYT television station. We are anxiously looking forward to a successful 5K to be held on October 8th, 2016 at 8:30am at Easy Walker Park in Mount Sterling.

Your company logo/name printed in large lettering on race t-shirts. Banner displayed prominently at event (event organizer or sponsor provided) Your own booth setup, which will serve as an opportunity to share and market your company. Major recognition in runners’ registration packets and web page, Mt. Sterling Advocate, and Social Media. Opportunity to include marketing material in the participant race bags.

*$500+ (or cash equivalent) sponsorship - Silver Medal:

Your company logo/name printed in medium lettering on race t-shirts. Special recognition in runners’ registration packet and web page, Mt. Sterling Advocate and Social Media. Opportunity to include marketing material in the participant race bags.

*$250+ (or cash equivalent) sponsorship - Bronze Medal:

Company name recognition on race t-shirts. Recognition in runners’ registration packet and web page. Opportunity to include marketing material in the participant race bags.

*Less than $250 (or cash equivalent) - Support sponsorship:
