We are excited to announce that 24000.org will host the inaugural Run For Their Lives 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, October 24, 2015, through beautiful Coldstream Park in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky with a start/finish at the Embassy Suites. This will be a timed event and participants will receive a t-shirt with registration.  Race participants are encouraged to dress in costumes as this is a theme based 5k that will be fun for the whole family.  Our goal is to raise funds for 15,000 mosquito nets to distribute in the eastern Uganda area of Africa.   Strollers and, of course, costumes are welcome!

Based in Georgetown, Kentucky, 24000.ORG has been a 501©3 organization since February 2012. The mission of 24000.ORG is to raise awareness and funding to help alleviate the nearly 24,000 preventable deaths that happen to children around the world each day. These deaths are from preventable causes such as drinking contaminated water, malaria, lack of food, etc. Since 2012, 24000.ORG has provided over 10,000 mosquito nets to villages in Eastern Uganda to help combat malaria. We have also provided clean water to over 300 children at a school and at an orphanage.
