About This Event

Please join us on Saturday, September 30, 2017 for the Annual RUN KDC 5K & Walk. The run will take place at Mayor’s Riverfront Park, 251 Mills St in Kalamazoo.

In an effort to bring the community together to support the efforts of KDC, we are looking for sponsorships - individuals, families and businesses are encouraged to be a part of the Annual RUN KDC 5K & Walk 

KDC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Run KDC 5K is a 5k Run/Walk fundraiser for the Kalamazoo Deacons Conference (KDC), an agency that has been uncompromisingly serving the underprivileged in the community for more than 49 years. All funds raised from the race, goes a long way to help those in emotional, financial, and spiritual crisis.

All KDC services and programs are offered free of charge to the guests. During the last five years, KDC served over 15,700 people in need, donated $80,730 to people in financial crisis, assisted 2,743 guests with direct response services, provided 3,728 people free clothing. Hundreds of guests have received free furniture, household and personal care.

All supporters can participate through volunteering, running or walking. Unlike other marathons, the Run KDC 5K & Walk is not just about how fast you can finish the race, but how your support strengthens the Kalamazoo community.

 Entry Fees

Early Registration Fees - $20.00 through September 28, 2017 (11:59 pm)
Race Day Registration Fees - $25.00
**Tee Shirts cannot be guaranteed on race day after September 17th or on Race Day
 

Event Schedule
Day of Registration: 7:30 am to 8:45 am
5K Run and Walk: 9:00 am.

T-Shirts

T-Shirts are guaranteed for pre-registration participants before September 17th.  T-Shirt availability after September 17th wlll be on a "first come, first serve basis".   Please register early!!

Awards
Medals will be given to the top three finishers in each age group. Special awards will be given to the overall male and female finishers in the run and walk.
