Run Muskegon's Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot

The Muskegon Turkey Trot has been a community tradition for over 10 years. This family friendly 5k is perfect way to jumpstart Thanksgiving morning.  Get festive, wear a turkey hat and and earn that extra Thanksgiving helping. 

Run Muskegon host the Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot as a fundraiser to snowplow the downtown Muskegon lakeshore bike trail. By keeping the downtown bike trail groomed during the winter, residents have a safe place to run, walk and play during the winter.  The downtown bike trail connects to local restaurants and businesses, MCC Fitness Center and more!

All participants must fill out a waiver.  We recommend a $10 donation per participant along with a canned food item.  Registration is a donation, so donate what you can. We try to keep this a fun run but donations help make this fundraiser a true success.   This FUNdraiser is a fun-run. It is not chip-timed but there will be a clock at the finish line.  The race will happen rain, snow, freezing rain, blizzard...or sunshine. We're sorry but dogs are not allowed at the race (insurance purposes). Repeat: no dogs 

If you don't want to pre-registration online, you can sign-up in person on Thanksgiving morning from 8- 8:45 am at MCC Fitness Center. All participants must sign a waiver. There will be collection buckets at the registration tables to make your donations to Run Muskegon.  We'll have volunteers outside of MCC collecting canned food items. 

Run Muskegon is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose goal is to encourage and help community members live a more active lifestyle. Run Muskegon is responsible for snowplowing the downtown lakeshore bike trail during the winter and is also the host of the Shamrock Shuffle 5k in March.
