Kickoff your journey to living with purpose by running to support the fight against pediatric cancer! With Purpose, a registered 501©3 non-profit organization, is dedicated to helping close the funding gap for childhood cancer drugs as well as help create incentives for pharmeceutical drug companies to produce these drugs. Did you know that just 4% of the federal cancer budget goes towards pediatric cancer research? Did you know that it can take over 15 YEARS for a new drug to complete its rounds of testing before being approved for production? Did you know that 13,500 kids are diagnosed with cancer EACH YEAR? These numbers are outrageous, and we want to help!
With Purpose was created in honor of Sam, who was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer called DIPG. He was given only one year to live. However, two years later, Sam is fighting like a champ! Sam’s parents created With Purpose as a way not only to donate, but to help raise funds with purpose. Through partnerships with various companies in their hometown, such as restaurants, gyms, bars, and even law offices, they have brought a new meaning to everyday activities. With proceeds from everyday purchases, such as cookies, beer, yoga and dance classes, going back to With Purpose, they have found a way to not only raise money, but raise money through activities done on a daily basis. For instance, the coffee you by from a cafe can support the fight against childhood cancer. That gives your purchase a purpose!
By choosing to run with us, you are choosing not only to support the fight against childhood cancer, but to run with purpose. Whether your purpose is to honor a loved one who lost their battle with cancer, to help raise awareness for this seemingly endless battle, or just to get out and support a great cause, your choice will be part of curing a child with cancer.

Sam Lee was diagnosed with DIPG, a rare brain cancer, at age two and was given only one year to live. During this year, through the help and donations of family and friends, the Lee family was able to travel across the country and give same the best year of his life. Miraculously, Sam has surpassed his one year diagnosis and is now four years old! This little warrior is the motivation behind With Purpose, as well as behind our chapter here in College Station!
