RunningDog Anything is Pawsible Challenge

Register today for our 5 week RunningDog Anything is Pawsible Challenge!

This virtual challenge is a fundraising event for the RunningDog non profit organization. This organization recruits, trains and equips runners who take adoptable dogs on running adventures. Check us out at runningdog.org!

Our challenge to you is to run, walk or hike 50 miles between May 2, 2021 and June 6, 2021! Every participant that completes this challenge will be entered into a raffle to win our fabulous  grand prize!

But that's not the only way to win a prize! 

Weekly goals!

Each week a goal of 10 miles is set and if you achieve the goal of 10 miles per week, you will automatically be entered into that week's prize raffle! 

 

Fundraising!

There will be an option for fundraising for RunningDog during registration. Each registrant who fundraises $50 will be entered into our end-of-event fundraiser raffle. No need to stop at $50 though! Our top fundraiser will receive 10 extra tickets for the fundraising raffle.

 

Weekly Social Media Themes!

Each week has a fun theme that will help us stay in touch with you using Facebook or the Strava platform. Each week the theme will ask you to be on the lookout for that perfect selfie or photo to share with our event! Each time you upload the weekly challenge photos, you will be entered into that week's raffle. And since we are a canine centric organization we can't exclude your furry family member, can we? Each week's theme will include your dog!

 

The PROCESS...
1- Register today!

     Don't forget:

     Sign up to fundraise for a chance at another prize!

     Grab one of the super cool shirts on the "Race Swag" page!

     Register your dog and get a super cool bandana!

2- Create a Strava Account 

     Don't forget to use the same email address!

     You'll get an invitation to our RunningDog Anything is Pawsible Strava club the week before the challenge starts.

3- Join our Facebook Group "RunningDog Anything is Pawsible Challenge" (not required!)

     This is where you will post your weekly theme photos! You can also post them in our Strava club.

4- Log your mileage and/or upload to Strava. 5- Upload your weekly theme posts to our Facebook group or our Strava club. 6- Sit back and watch for our raffle winners! It could be YOU!

     Our weekly raffle prizes and the final raffle prizes will be either online gift cards or local gift cards. The weekly theme dog raffle prize will be a gift package full of gifts for your pup!

Tracking

To organize this challenge, we are using Strava to track mileage. When you register for this challenge, we will send you a link to our RunningDog Anything is Pawsible  Strava club. Make sure to register for this challenge with the email that you use for Strava!

If you do not have a Strava account it is a simple process! Go to strava.com for full instructions.

If you do not have the Strava app on your phone, you can manually enter or upload your mileage using your laptop or PC to your Strava.com profile.

Weekly Themes:
Week 1

Challenge Introductions!

This first week’s theme is all about getting to know you... and getting to know the challenge you are taking on! Is there a technical trail that you want to conquer? Is there a mileage or a pace you are aiming for? Or is the 10 miles per week your challenge? Let us know...and we will be rooting for you!

Post a selfie and let us know how to cheer you on!

 For an extra raffle ticket, post a second photo with your dog!

Week 2

Training Begins!

The second week’s theme is all about your plan and how you are going to reach your goal! We are looking for a photo that shows you putting in the work. Let us know in the post how you have planned your training or conditioning. 

To be awarded an extra raffle ticket, post a second pic and include your canine companion in your training post.

Week 3

New Week, New Route

The third week’s theme is all about exploration. Find a new trail, a new route or a new park and maybe find your new favorite running/walking area! Post a photo showing us this new area...we may like to try it out!

To be awarded the extra raffle ticket, upload a second pic and include your canine companion in your new adventure photo!

Week 4

Cross Training is Key!

This week’s theme is all about shaking up your routine and trying something new.

 Want to become a better runner? Cycling will help you get there! 

Want to be able to climb those steep hills? Gym workouts will help you get there!

We are looking for posts and photos about your cross training. Whether you are trying something new or have a tried and true plan...let us know!

To be awarded the 2nd raffle ticket, upload a second pic and include your furry family member in your cross training photo!

Week 5

Your Time to Shine!

This week’s theme is all about tackling that mountain. Or that pace or that mileage or that really steep trail! Did you reach your goal and have fun doing it? Let us know!

We are looking for photos of you wearing your Anything is Pawsible shirt! Either a selfie or photo of you finishing the RunningDog Anything is Pawsible Challenge.

To be awarded the 2nd raffle ticket, upload a second pic and include your canine companion sporting their Anything is Pawsible bandana!

All of the human prizes for this challenge will be gift cards that will be directly shipped to you. All of the prizes for canines will be dog friendly and will also be shipped directly to you.
