About the event
Plans are underway for our 6th Annual Sam Liss 5K! This year's event will be a new location - Edgar Middle School in Metuchen. Registrants will receive blue short-sleeved tech shirts. Please register by Sept 8th to guarantee a shirt. Race fee $30 in advance; $40 day of.
All proceeds benefit Breaking the Chain through Education, a non-profit organization based in New Jersey that is dedicated to eradicating child slavery in Ghana, West Africa. Sam Liss, Metuchen High School Class of 2010, was one of the founding members of the BTCTE at Metuchen High School. He tragically passed away from cancer in 2017. This event honors him and the organization he supported.
