This is my fifth marathon and first in San Francisco. The route is great, the highest expectation was to run back and forth on the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately, the main road is not blocked on the racing day, runners were squeezed on the sidewalk, which is wet and slippery due to heavy fog in the morning. It was not easy to run and keep the right pace. The start and finish lines were so cheaply made, not visible and did not give any sense of ceremony. The volunteers are super great! But there were very few cheering spectators.
