The 5th Annual Sandalwood Run for Hunger
5K & 10K Races – Dogs Welcome!

The Fifth Annual Sandalwood Run for Hunger is coming to Hilton Head Island on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 8:30 am.
 The Sandalwood Community Food Pantry is delighted to again be partnering with our Title Sponsor, The South Carolina Aquarium and Palmetto Running Company on this Kickoff to Spring event, which will benefit our neighbors in need living in our Hilton Head Island community. We will return to the historic Mitchelville Freedom Park as the location for our 5K, 10K Run/Walk -- this is an awesome course combining roads, trails and beach.   Thanks to popular demand, we will again include a Fastest Dog Division.

Packet pick up is on Friday 3-5PM at Palmetto Running Company, Hilton Head. Tri-Blend shirts to first 200 Pre-registered runners.

Overall winners awards and Medals to top 3 age divisions

The course is a combination of paved road, beach and wooded trails. NO strollers are allowed.
The popular Dog division is back. Medal to top 3 finishers, runner and dog. (please register in the dog division if you are running with your dog)

THANK YOU to everyone for your awesome support and participation in our 4th Run for Hunger, which was a tremendous success in many ways...most importantly in the positive impact it will have on our neighbors in need in our community.

We had an outstanding turnout of both locals and visitors from several states (including MI, OH, TN, VA, GA, NC) and Canada were represented.
Our participants ranged in age from 8 to 75....and several dogs of course! 

We are blessed that our net proceeds of $11K+ will exceed last year's and bring us closer to our vision of having our own building.
