We are pleased to announce the addition of the Sharon Woods 10K and 5K to our 2019 events schedule. We know you will enjoy this scenic Metro Park that features a paved running trail and a completely tree lined course. This event starts at 10am allowing you plenty of time to pick up your race packet and a get a little warm-up. We hope you can join us and look forward to a fun event.
WHEN: Saturday, April 13th @ 10am
WHERE: Sharon Woods Metro Park located @ 6911 Cleveland Ave in Westerville
DISTANCES: You may choose from a 5K or a 10K distance.
AWARDS: All finishers will receive a custom race medal at the finish line.
MORE AWARDS: Personalized plaques will be awarded in 10K and 5K for the top three finishers in each category: 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ and for the top 3 overall in the WALKER divisions. If you qualify for an award and would like one produced please e-mail Linda at [email protected] by 4/30/19.
PACKET PICK-UP: Packet pick-up will be on race day from 8:30am – 9:45am at the race venue.
DIRECTIONS: The GPS address is 6911 Cleveland Ave which is the Cleveland Avenue entrance to Sharon Woods Metro Park. Upon entering the park you will drive approximately 1/2 mile to the start of the race. Signs will direct you to the start/finish area as well as overflow parking.
ABOUT THE COURSE: The start/finish line is mentioned above. The course is 100% paved and quite scenic. Course maps - COMING SOON!
DOGS: Permitted on leash.
RACE RESULTS: Race results will be available as soon as you cross the finish line at the Sharon Woods 5K & 10K on Run Sign Up. Official results will be made available at the same web page and on Facebook @ultrafitusa within 24 hours of the finish.
CHANGE in DISTANCE: Should you sign up for the 10K but choose to do the 5K, ideally notify us by Friday, April 12th at 5pm. And, should you decide on race day to change your distance, please notify us when you pick up your packet. This allows for accurate race results for all participants and for award purposes.
TIMING CHIP: Your electronic timing chip will be on the back of the bib assigned to you. It should be worn on your front chest on your outermost layer of clothing for an accurate reading of your finish time.
