She Tris Hamlin takes place in a beautiful north Mt. Pleasant neighborhood with gorgeous marsh views and stunning homes. Participants may choose between Duathlon, Triathlon, or virtual event options (please see virtual info below).
COVID-19 PROTOCOL UPDATE: She Tris athletes will NOT have to wear a face covering while actively participating in the triathlon/duathlon. Masks will be required on our trolley system and anytime you are on Hobcaw property and not actively participating in the event. You will be asked to wear them on the trolley, at check in, in transition, by the pool, and once you finish the event before you exit the finish line chute. We will follow the USAT return to multisport guidelines with mask wearing and social distancing.
The swim is a 250 meter pool swim in the Hamlin Plantation Club pool. Participants start at one side of the pool and snake their way up and down each lane as they work towards the other side of the pool. You will be provided with a swim cap if you choose to wear it.
The bike course is a two loop 8 mile route through the beautiful Hamlin Plantation neighborhood.Participants will catch glimpses of the surrounding marsh lands, views of luxurious waterfront coastal Carolina style homes, all with a backdrop of palmetto trees and grand oak trees. The roads are open to traffic – but traffic is usually fairly light.
The 2.5 mile run course is an out and back-through the Hamlin Plantation Community along the tree-lined paths. The course is partially shaded and completely flat.

Complete the distance anywhere anytime during the month of August 2021. Virtual participants can upload their times, but they will not be included in awards. A finisher certificate will be available for download. All virtual participants may choose to pickup their packets locally or they will be mailed in early August. Times should be submitted between 8/1/2021-8/31/2021.
Triathlon- 250 meter swim, 8 mile bike, and a 2.5 mile run.
