About the event
The South Mountain Heritage Society (SMHS) Spook Hill Cider & Wine 4 Mile Run provides participants the unique opportunity to run through historic Burkittsville, Union Cemetery, the Boordy's South Mountain Vineyard and the Distillery Lane Ciderworks orchard via a mix of paved and cross-country type surfaces. Visit the participating wineries/cideries/eateries on the Spook Hill Wine Trail post-run! Come for the run, stay for the wine!
New for 2018 - Everyone will receive a cotton tee shirt included with registration! There will be the option to upgrade to a gender-specific technical fabric tee for a nominal fee during checkout.
Overland Timing will be bib-chip timing the 2018 run.
Accolades: Spook Hill was named by Competitor.com in 2014 as a "Must Do" fall race in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The race also appeared in the "Races & Places" feature in the October 2015 edition of Runner's World. Spook Hill is also a Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club "Grand Prix Series" event.

August 15 through September 25 - $34.95
September 26 through - October 15, 2018 (or until race sells out all 525 slots): $38.95
Race Day (if bibs still available): $43, cash or check.

10:00 Distillery Lane Ciderworks tasting room opens for business. Expect DLC is offering Spook Hill participants $5 off of any purchase totaling $30 or more on race morning-show 'em your bib!
Boordy Vineyards is also expected to be set up in Burkittsville on race morning
11:00 The Little Red Barn Ice Cream Cafe, just off of Rte 340 in Jefferson (show them your bib for a free kid's size soft serve) and Dan's Restaurant and Tap House in Boonsboro open. These are two great places to grab lunch!
Race Premium:
Each participant will receive a commemorative wine glass AND a cotton tee shirt as their race premium.
