Spring Fling Run Festival 8k, 5k, Kid's Run & 2 Mile

Scoogie Events and the good folks at the Joseph Ambler Inn cordially invite you the Second Annual Spring Fling 8k & 5k run festival on April 22nd at the historic Joseph Ambler Inn. In addition to the 8k & 5k runs, we will also have a 1/2 mile Kid's Fun Run & a 2 mile walk. The event will begin at 8:00am and the festivities will continue well afterward when EVERYONE is invited to stick around and enjoy music, a full country breakfast (limited to the first 500 registered ) and mimosas for those of age, activities for kids (including a bounceU bounce house) and of course the awards ceremony. If you would like your family and friends to join you at the full country breakfast have them sign up for the kids fun run or the 2 mile walk. 

HUGE & EXCITING NEWS..... The US 202 Parkway will be COMPLETELY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC for this event and all runs will be on the Parkway!!!!

EARLY REGISTRATION OPENS JANUARY 14th!!!

There will be a PRICE INCREASE on February 1st !!!

There IS A RACE CAP put on this race. The race will be limited to 500 runners and WILL SELL OUT...most likely by the end on March. So PLEASE sign up early as we CANNOT except any runners over 500.

Commemorative Spring Fling tech tee shirts to everyone that registers before or on March 31st! After that, we cannot guarantee a tee shirt.

Again, the US 202 Parkway will be COMPLETELY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC for this event and all runs will be on the Parkway!!! It's THE PERFECT route for a 8k & 5k...it's beautiful, rolling and there are NO CARS!!!

And...we will have plenty of folks cheering you on the whole way as well as one water stop for the 5k runners and two for the 8k runners. 

Why are we holding this event? Because we want to bring folks together in a meaningful way, get friends and families OUTSIDE to enjoy our beautiful area that we live in and most importantly, to raise funds for the Kid's Foundation! A portion of the proceeds from this event will go directly to the Life is good Kid's Foundation:-)

Both Scoogie Events and The Joseph Ambler Inn are holding nothing back and pulling out all of the stops to make sure that this event of it's kind will truly be one for the memory books. 

Having the beautiful & famous Joseph Ambler Inn play host to this event is a dream come true. The Inn is a perfect venue to host an event like this and the 202 Parkway is THE perfect run course. The combination of these two factors and the fact that Scoogie Events is bringing this race to you and will see to it that all runners needs and desires are met means that this race is surly not to be missed.

The famous Joseph Ambler Inn will serve ALL runners a FULL COUNTRY BREAKFAST...yup..eggs, French toast casserole, bacon, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, muffins and pastries, coffee, tea & Juice. (limited to the first 500 registered, with a continental breakfast for everyone else) 

AND....(drum roll.......) Mimosas for ALL the runners (of age)...mock mimosas for underage.

The Joseph Ambler Inn will also provide $20 gift cards for each 8k & 5k runner!!!

AWARDS: "You ask for it.....we deliver": From now on, ALL Scoogie events age group awards will be in FIVE YEAR age increments!! Awards given for 8K & 5k only, Kids Run is for FUN! Overall winner (male and female), plus top three males and females in each age category: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. No mailing of awards or shirts.

**Packet Pick up will be on Friday, April 21st at The Joseph Ambler Inn from 4-7 PM :-) A racer email will be sent out the Monday before the race detailing everything that you will need to know about packet pick up and race day details.

***If you cannot attend packet pick up on Friday, April 21st....you can pick up your packet on race morning starting at 6:30 am.
