THE VIRTUAL RACE WILL BE STAGED FROM 12:01 AM MONDAY MARCH 22 UNTIL 11:59 PM SATURDAY APRIL 10, 2021. THE TRADITIONAL 5K RACE WILL BE STAGED AT 7:45 AM SATURDAY APRIL 10, 2021.

THE TRADITIONAL 5K RUN AND 1 MILE FUN RUN/WALK STAGED IN EVERETT PARK APRIL 10, 2021.
This is the 1st Event of the 2021 Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running (held in person on April 10 or virtual between March 22 – April 10). 2nd Event – Scholars Run, July 31. 3rd Event – Reindeer Run, December 5. Those participating in ALL THREE events will be eligible for Triple Crown cash awards, door prizes, and a special memento. If you are unable to participate in ALL THREE events, you still have a chance at winning the great Triple Crown door prizes worth a minimum of $50 each if you participate in the Reindeer Run and at least one of the other two Triple Crown events. You are eligible whether you participate in the 5K Run or the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk.
LOCATION/COURSE CHANGE FOR 2021: The Spring Sprint will be staged Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Everett Park, 702 Burchfield Street, Maryville (and parking accessible coming in to the park off of Everett High Road). Registration area will take place in front of the Everett Senior Center. Start line is on Burchfield Street and Finish Line is in the park on the hill above the softball fields. The Start Line will be open from 7:45 – 8:15 am to start people in small groups every minute. We encourage runners who run under 23 minutes to start during the first few minutes of the open start time.
We will offer a ‘Run Anywhere" virtual 5K and 1 Mile option for our race this year. The virtual events will allow participants to run their selected distance on any course they choose between March 22, 2021 and April 10, 2021. We will furnish the RaceJoy app that will allow participants to measure their time and distance using their smartphone. The app will let them know when they have completed the correct distance and will then log their time on the race website. Detailed instructions on the usage of the app will be supplied prior to March 22. Participants who choose one of the virtual options may pick up their shirt at the Pre Race Package Pickup and Registration: Thursday, April 8, 2021 6 to 8 pm Dick’s Sporting Goods in Hamilton Crossing 221 Hamilton Crossing Drive Alcoa, TN 37701 or at the Parks & Rec. office approximately up to 2 weeks after the race. Participants in the virtual events will not be eligible age group awards, Triple Crown awards, or prizes.
A portion of the race proceeds this year goes to Blount County’s Special Olympics program and to the Leon Berrong Scholarship Fund that helps underprivileged kids participate in recreational programs!

T-SHIRTS: All runners will receive a quality, cotton/poly blend T-shirt. Shirts will be available on the day of the race for day-of-race entries as long as supplies last. Those who do not get their packets on race day may pick them up at the Parks & Rec. office approximately up to 2 weeks after the race. Participants who choose one of the virtual events may pick up their shirts at the Parks & Rec office during this time frame also.
AWARDS/PRIZES: Due to crowds not being encouraged to gather, there will not be an awards ceremony on site, but awards can be picked up at the Parks & Rec Admin Office between 8 am – 5 pm, Mon – Friday. Award winners can view results after the race at https://www.totalracesolutions.com/?page_id=48 and awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group. All Fun Run/Walk participants will receive a ribbon. Race participants will be eligible for nice door prize drawings and winners will be randomly drawn and notified to pick up prizes at the Parks & Rec Admin office, 316 S. Everett High Road, Maryville. GENERAL INFORMATION: No baby strollers, bicycles, roller blades or dogs are allowed to be used by any participant during the race. The use of headsets is not recommended due to traffic on race route.
Refreshments: Refreshments will be included in the race packets for all registered participants to enjoy on their own after the race.
