Springdale Salute – Memorial Day 5K Run/1 mile walk. Monday, May 28, Start time: 745 a.m. Begins lower Glen Oak Park, Peoria Il; route goes through Springdale Cemetery, passing Soldiers Hill. May $30.00 Race Weekend: $35.00 $5.00 discount for Veterans. Packet pick up: Friday, May 25 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at Running Central, 311 SW Water Street, or Race Day 6:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. 1 Mile walk fee: $20.00. Event is presented by Sunrise Roofing and the Illinois Valley Fuller Center for Housing. Proceeds from the event will benefit IVFCH home repair projects for Veterans. Awards will be given following the race. $100.00 Cash prize for Most Patriotic Costume.
