Sri Chinmoy Thanksgiving Day 5K, 10K & Kids Race

Join us on Thursday, November 23, for the Sri Chinmoy Thanksgiving Day 5K, 10K & Kids Race, featuring a scenic, flat and fast 5K loop around Flushing Meadows Park. USATF certified course and sanctioned event.

AMENITIES:

Bag check, aid stations every mile, free T-shirt (guaranteed if registered by November 11), medals for all finishers, and our famous post-race pancake breakfast!

THE COURSE:

A flat and fast USATF certified loop starting at the north end of Meadow Lake, passing the iconic World's Fair Unisphere, Pool of Industry, Queens Zoo and Queens Museum of Art. 5K = 1 loop, 10K = 2 loops.

T-SHIRTS:

Free race T-shirts guaranteed for all participants registered by November 11.
For participants registered after November 11, remaining T-Shirts will be available after the race on a first-come first-serve basis.

POST-RACE PANCAKE BREAKFAST!

Hot pancakes are even more enjoyable after you’ve run a race, and we’re cooking them up fresh for everyone on race day! (yes, of course they're free!)

TIME LIMITS:

5K: 1 hr
10K: 1 hr 30 min

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

All participants must be 13 or older to compete in the 5K, 15 or older for the 10K

KIDS FUN RUN:

There will be a kids fun-run for children under 13, at 10:30 a.m. 100 meter and 400 meter distances - depending on the child’s age. Registration - $5 - is on race day only, starting at 9:30 a.m. Each child will receive a small prize. Please email [email protected] if you plan to enter your child so we can be sure to have enough prizes.

REGISTRATION AND FEES:

Register Online through RedPodium or Active. (Processing fee applies).
Register by mail: Download entry form. Entry must be received by November 11.

Early registration: 5K: $20, 10K: $30 through November 11 (online or by mail)
Late registration: 5K: $20, 10K: $30 through, November 13 (online only)
Race-day registration, IF AVAILABLE: 5K: $30, 10K: $40, 8:30-9:30 AM on race-day. Cash, check, money order ONLY. (Sorry, no credit cards).

Entries cannot be transferred to another person.

RACE NUMBER PICKUP:

Number pickup will be on race day only, between 8:30-9:30 AM

DIRECTIONS:

You can drive to the race (free parking right next to race-day central), or take the Subway (7 train to Mets-Willets point)
Please familiarize yourself with the map and directions on our race website before race day, Flushing Meadows Park is a VERY BIG park (larger than Central Park), we don’t want you to get lost!
