St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Powell is partnering with Columbus Running Company, a locally-owned running specialty retail operation, to host the inaugural St. Joan of Arc Community Festival 5k on August 29th. The race will start at St. Joan of Arc Church at 6:30pm and run through neighborhoods in Powell before finishing back at the church during the Community Festival.
Course: Flat, through residential neighborhoods in Powell.
Registration: $25, $5 discount for Police and Fire in Powell or Liberty Township.
Benefit: Race proceeds will go to local charity Help My Neighbor food pantry (www.helpmyneighbors.org). Runners are also welcome to bring non-perishable items to donate to the food pantry, representatives will be on hand.
Early packet pickup: Save time in line on Saturday afternoon and stop by Columbus Running Company’s Dublin location on Thursday, August 27th from 10a-8p or Friday, August 28th from 10a-6p to pick up your race packet, race number, and event shirt. The experts at CRC are there to help you be ready for race day, so be sure you’ve got that perfect pair of socks or race hat to keep the sun out of your eyes!
Logistics: Runners should plan to arrive plenty early to beat the crowd arriving for the festival, which begins at 6pm. Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 5pm on the church grounds near the start/finish line of the race.
Finish Line Celebration: Grab your medal, check out a fitness demonstration from a local physical trainer, and head over to the festival to enjoy food, beer, games, rides, and live music.
Details: Participants will receive a tech shirt and finishers medal; along with a food or beverage voucher that can be redeemed at the festival.
