The Standing Stone Half Marathon is in Huntingdon, Pa., a friendly small town in rural Huntingdon County. You will have a memorable experience completing our challenging 13.1 mile course that winds through our historic town. The race begins in the heart of downtown Huntingdon. Expect beautiful views along the Juniata River and neighborhood crowds gathering on sidewalks as the course takes you through friendly neighborhoods as you make your way past historic downtown sites such as the Standing Stone Monument, the Huntingdon County Courthouse and Gage Mansion before passing Riverview Cemetery as the race turns uptown to the beautiful Juniata College campus. After crossing campus and climbing up the tree lined streets of Taylor Highlands, the course turns back towards the streets of our historic downtown district to begin the second loop. The second loop ends with you sprinting down Washington Street into the heart of downtown Huntingdon past the historic Clifton 5 Theatre and through the finish line where the post-race party just begins.
You can expect to see smiling and cheering spectators along the course. Live bands and cheerleading squads will also be stationed along the course to encourage runners and entertain spectators. Watch the race from any spot along the course or join others at one of our special designated cheer zones. We will have plenty of water stations. Relax post race, enjoy music, runners’ awards and vendors. Stop at our sponsors and charity partners tables to thank them for making this race a reality.
The Standing Stone Half Marathon/Relay/5K is a professionally chip timed race. Splits will be placed along the course, and fluid stations will be set up throughout the course. A results kiosk will be stationed near the finish so you can get your results right away.
