Step Forward 5K Challenge & Mile Fun Run

The Courageous Steps Project’s Step Forward 5K Challenge promotes the importance of stepping forward, even if the obstacle is not clearly noticed. So, why haven’t you taken that first Step Forward?

All proceeds from our 5K Challenge will benefit the Courageous Steps Project’s Step Forward Initiative which awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Eastern Maine, and provides mentorship opportunities to children in grades 4-12 through collaborating with schools and other local organizations.

DAY of Registration/Check-In starts at 7:30AM, and will close NO LATER than 8:15AM. It all starts and finishes at Old Town Elementary School. The course goes through the UMaine Demerrit Forest and has a mix of pavement and trails, with well-marked directions and spotters all throughout.
