Step into Summer 5k Trail Run/Walk and Kids Dash

Late Registration and Packet Pick up is June 9th 5-7pm, and June 10th 7-8:45 at Van Buren State Park at the Pavilion

New for 2017 a 2 mile family fun walk on the newly paved Van Buren Trail Spur!!!!! This will be a untimed family fun walk all participants will receive a t-shirt, race bag and be entered in to the door prize drawing.  Strollers and wagons welcome on this walk. Pets allowed on a 6 foot leash!

5k Race/Walk will begin at 9am

Kids Dash will begin upon completetion of 5k

Join us for a scenic trail 5k run/walk at Van Buren State Park.   We're putting the fun back in the run!

This is not your typical 5k it will include trail running/walking through the picturesque trails along Lake Michigan and on the beach.  It will challenge you all while enjoying the great outdoors! After the race drinks and snacks will be provided.  The kids dash will start after the completion of the 5k run.

This gorgeous location features lakeside sand dunes, woodland trails, picnic area, and modern camp sites.

This event will be hand-timed.  Remember it is quite a challenging route!

.Again this year we will be offering a $50.00 family rate. 2 adults and 3 kids immediate family only please

Age Groups:

6 and under, 7-9,10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

All participants 18 and under will receive a participation medal for the 5k and the kids dash.

This 5k and Kid's Dash is a fundraiser for South Haven Public School Maple Grove Elementary.

You must have a recreation passport to enter the Van Buren State Park.  The cost is $11.00; they will be for sale the day of the race.  The passport is valid at any Michigan State Park

No dogs allowed on the 5k race course.

Dogs are allowed in the State Park.

Strollers are not recommended on the 5k course but are welcomed on the family fun walk.
