The first ever Stockholm Ultra Marathon will take place on Sunday, 4 August 2013. This will be the largest promotion of ultra running in Scandinavia.
The event has two races: 50km and 100km.
Beautiful course in the Royal National City Park
Stockholm Ultra Marathon is run on a beautiful course in the Royal National City Park in Central Stockholm.
The course is 7.9km long. The surface is asphalt (4.3km of the lap) and hard-packed gravel (3.6km of the lap).
The difference in elevation between the highest and lowest point of the course is 13 metres.
The finish is in front of the Maritime Museum on Djurgården.
Participants in the 50km race will run six laps plus an extra turn on the first lap.
Participants in the 100km race start with a shorter lap then run twelve complete laps.
