Superhero 5K and Fun Run

DESCRIPTION
The 9th Annual Superhero 5K and 1-mile Fun Run will be held on February 15, 2020 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. This is a Foster Care Awareness Event.

More than just a race, the Superhero 5K brings together child welfare agencies and the community to highlight the nearly 1500 youth who are in local foster care in Sarasota, Manatee, and DeSoto Counties, while providing a family-friendly event with music, a kiddie zone, food, and giveaways.

We believe that kids in foster care and those who care for them are some of our community's most incredible heroes, which is the reason we have chosen a superhero theme. So don't be shy... come dressed as your favorite hero and get ready for an awesome race and cause!

--PACKET PICK-UP (Three options):
1) Wednesday, February 12th from 4-7pm at New Balance University Park NBUP (new address! 315 N Cattleman Rd, Unit #1 Sarasota 34243)
2) Thursday, February 13th at Fit2Run - Location TBD
3) Race day morning, on-site at Benderson Park (Saturday, February 15th, 7-7:45a)

If you don't plan to pick your packet up at Fit 2 Run on Feb 13, 2019, plan to arrive early to make sure we can process you through in time to get you to the starting line!

The course is an out-and-back. The 5k race will begin at the southwest corner of the property.

Parking is south of 5k starting line at the southernmost end of the lake. Fit 2 Run and Bridge A Life signage will be posted for clarity. See parking and course map in the image posted to our Facebook page (search for Bridge A Life).
