Taliharja Vanakuri Winter Ultra Endurance Race

TALIHARJA VANAKURI is a 101 km winter ultra endurance trail race (or 48km "pehmo" version) mostly in darkness through nature reserves in Latvia & Estonia border area. Race runs on snowy/icy/muddy small roads, trails. Race can be done either on foot, on skis or by bike. Race course is marked, but competitors must carry map and GPS and mandatory safety equipment and be self sufficient. Race course crosses vast forests and wetlands and offers complete solitude and immersion in the tough terrain. Sun sets 15.39 and light fades at 16.30 so a big portion of the race course will be completed in darkness!
