TEF Tenafly 5K Run and Dog Walk

The 17th annual TEF Tenafly 5K Run and Dog Walk will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015. The USATF-sanctioned 5K Run is one of the largest road races in North Jersey, drawing more than 1,500 runners of all ages and abilities. After the runners leave the starting line, more than 100 dog owners follow them on the 5K course with their dogs. The day's other fun events include a dog parade, tiger cub races, and 1-mile fun run.

All proceeds from the event support the Tenafly Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that funds teacher-initiated programs and projects in the Tenafly public schools that the school budget is unable to cover. The event raised $32,000 in 2014 and has raised more than $500,000 since its inception in 1999.
