Terrain Race: TUCSON

Crawl over obstacles right where The Three Amigos and many more westerns were filmed at this Tucson obstacle course race. Finish covered in mud with the beautiful Tucson mountains behind you.

Awards

This is a race and all athletes will be timed! Your time will be slower than a 5k or 10k race, but it's always nice to see how you rank compared to fellow athletes.

We use chip timing so you can see how fast you really are and we provide you with a free printable finisher certificate online after the race.

The 9am wave of the 3 mile and 5+ mile courses is a competitive wave. The fastest three men and women in each distance will receive a free entry to another terrain Mud Run.

The Endurance distance is two laps on the 5+ mile course and all athletes must start at 9am. The fastest three men and women in the Endurance wave will be eligible for prizes.

How hard is this?

Our obstacles are designed so you can conquer them on your own but it's always nice to have a teammate help push you over these huge walls. Even the competitive athletes will struggle and instead of a penalty when you can't conquer an obstacle, you just keep trying until you do! For open waves it's fine to skip an obstacle, but the competitive will be disqualified if they do.

Extra laps

Want to race more than once? For an extra $15 you can run as many laps as you want. This is great if you want to race the Competitive wave and then again with family or friends new to mud runs. You'll get a special wrist sweatband and each lap you complete you'll collect a monkey pin so you can brag after the race.

Where's the map?

Part of the difficulty is we won't post a map until race day! With surprises around the corner the race becomes more challenging but we will have a huge map for you to study right before the start cannon goes off.

Food and Drink

Each athlete will get a free beverage: a Mother Road beer, or bottled water.

Lunch and extra beverages will be available for purchase.

No outside coolers are allowed at the venue. You may bring water, energy drinks and snacks to the site but please leave other items at your vehicle.

Spectators

We create a finish area that includes many exciting obstacles for spectators to watch their family and friends on.

There is no charge for spectators at our Flagstaff event and we encourage you to get a cold beverage, grab a bite to eat and hang out under the ziplines to cheer on your friends and family!

Water Stations

There are aid stations with water approximately every mile. If you prefer electrolyte fluids, gels, etc., please plan to carry your own supplies.
