The 18.12 Challenge and 1/2 Marathon

Both The 18.12 Challenge and 1/2 Marathon will be held Sunday, August 27, 2017.  Both races will start at 7:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart Central High School (1316 Ives Street, Watertown, NY).  Parking at the start is limited, so runners should plan to either get dropped off at the start or take one of the pre-race shuttles from the finish to the start.  All race participants should be at the start by 6:30 a.m.

One of the best parts of this race is the view of the FINISH line, located on the historic 1812 Battlefield State Park in Sackets Harbor, NY.  The 1812 Battlefield overlooks gorgeous Lake Ontario.  The breathtaking view of the park, the lake, and the sailboats along the shoreline make for a rewarding ending to a great race.  Theres plenty of room at the FINISH line to view race participants as they finish the last leg of their journey, allowing family and friends to see, cheer, and capture every rewarding moment. 

Water, Gatorade, and food will be available for race participants at our post-race recovery tent. Water, Gatorade, and gels will also be available along the course.  Aid stations will be located at about every mile and a half to two miles, and restroom facilities will be located along both courses, as well. 

All race participants will receive a 2017 custom designed finisher medal, as well as a custom designed long-sleeve dri-fit race shirt and bib.
