The Gator Gauntlet 5K

Watch out for the alligator at Huntington Beach State Park for the Gator Gauntlet 5K!  This 5K race is open to all runners, joggers, walkers, dog walkers, or anyone who wants to get out and get some fresh air and exercise.  We will have race timing for all participants, and this event is for all skill levels from first time runners to competitive runners - everyone is invited.  As you run the course through Huntington Beach, you will be challenged by many fun activity stations along the way.  Watch out for the Alligator, he might be right behind you!  

The Gator Gauntlet 5K starts at 10 AM on Saturday April 4, 2020.  This race will be mostly on roads and paved surfaces inside the park. 

Registration for the 5K is $25 per person plus registration fees, and includes your race bib, a race T-shirt, souvenirs and you will be eligible for door prizes and top place race finish prizes.  T-shirts sizes will only be guaranteed if registration is received before March 20, 2020.  Same day registration is availble but cost will be $30 per person, cash only and you must check in prior to 9:00 AM.

Spend the day at Huntington Beach State Park, and visit a unique and special place in South Carolina.  All proceeds from this event will help support trail maintenance and construction at Huntington Beach State Park.  Help support a terrific park and join the fun!  No actual gators will be used or harmed during this event!

The Gator Gauntlet 5K is the fourth of six scheduled events for the 2020 South Carolina State Parks Come Out & Play 5K Race Series, which includes these 5Ks:

Be a part of the fun by entering in one or as many races as you like.  All races will be held rain or shine, and are meant to be a fun experience for anyone.  You can race as hard as you want, or just take a stroll through the park.  Please join us in visiting and supporting your beautiful South Carolina State Parks.  Bring or pick up your Ultimate Outsider Guide Book and get your Huntington Beach State Park stamp and visit several other nearby South Carolina State Parks after the race.

Policies: The Gator Gauntlet 5K at Huntington Beach State Park will be held rain or shine, unless hazardous weather conditions arise.  Sorry, no refunds will be available due to bad weather.

If you bring your pet, please keep them on a leash at all times.

Packet Pickup:Please arrive at Huntington Beach State Park at least 30-45 minutes prior to the race start to get your race bib and packet.  The event starts at 10 AM.  For same day registration the cost is $30 per participant, cash only and please arrive before 9 AM.
