The Panther Prowl 5k Run

This event is being put on by the Southside High School Marching Band as a fundraiser.  The course is a 3.11 mile run with a total ascent of 120.2 feet and a maximum elevation of 623.98 feet.  Starting at the Southside High School competition gym in Southside (Gadsden), Alabama.  Run the course beginning at the high school's competition gym and finishing at the football stadium on the 50 yard line.  It will be road/street running that will be blocked off to traffic.  Along the course there will be water stops and groups cheering on the participants.  This 5k will be family friendly and fun.  Age groups are 10 and under, 11-14 years, 15-19 years, 20-24 years, 25-29 years, 30-34 years, 35-39 years, 40-44 years, 45-49 years, 50-54 years, 55-59 years, 60-64 years, 65-69 years, 70 plus.  Medals for overall top 3 men and women and to the top 3 men and women in each age group.  Registration time is 8:00 am with race start at 9:00 am.  Registration is $25 and will include a t-shirt if you register before February 20, 2020.  Student price is $20.00 up to age 19.  Registration fee includes t-shirt (if registered by February 20, 2020), name entered for door prizes, and goodie bag.  For more information call Joan Coker at 256-239-4284 or [email protected].
