3.1 MILES OF FRIENDLY, HEALTHY COMPETITION

A 3.1 mile competitive footrace, starting near the water tower outside Council Rock High School South, Holland, PA., finishing Olympic style on the track of Walter Snyder Stadium at Council Rock North High School, Newtown, PA.
A majority of the course is paved but there are a few spots where you will need to run on grass.
This is a competitive running event. If you cannot cross Route 332 at Rock Way (350 yards) within 2 minutes of the start (15 minute mile pace), you will be asked to wait to cross until Northampton Township Police have cleared the backlog of traffic on Route 332.

COURSE:
This accurately measured 3.1 mile course starts on the track at Council Rock South High School and finishes on the track at Council Rock North High School. The course is mainly paved, but runs on short two sections of grass through Tyler State park. Sections of the course are narrow. Rock Run insurance coverage does not allow for the participation of jogging strollers or dogs.
COURSE TIME LIMIT IS 1 hour 10 minutes, or 20 minute miles.

AWARDS:
Awards to the top three men and women overall and the top three men and women in these age groups:
13 & Under, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64- 65-69, 70 & Older
Awards to the TOP MAN and WOMAN ALUMNI FINISHER of each school
Council Rock High School (hereto referred to as OLD ROCK or Original Rock), Council Rock High School North and Council Rock High School South
Award to top man and woman Council Rock School District faculty or staff member
A perpetual ROCK RUN BILL PRESTON ALUMNI CHALLENGE trophy will be presented to the winning alumni team 

(5 to score, 3 men and 2 women).

You do NOT need to have participated in track or cross country in high school to participate in team scoring, just attended one of the three schools

Finisher's Medal to those the first 500 finishers who complete the entire course within the time limit.

The awards presentation will take place at Council Rock North immediately after the last participant crosses the finish line.

ALUMNI TEAM CHALLENGE

You don;t have to have run on a team in high school, merely attended the school for which you're competing. Teams are scored cross country style with 3 men and 2 women scoring. Single gender schools, we'll pair you up with your brother/sister school

ORANGETHEORY FITNESS TEAM CHALLENGE

Orangetheory Fitness Newtown challenges other Orangetheory Fitness studio to some more friendly competition. Combined times of the fastest three members (regardless of gender) of each OTF studio will determine the first winner of the OTF Challenge Perpetual Plaque. Answer the question "which Studio" during your registration check-out.

PARKING:
This is a point-to-point course. We would love for you to arrange group parking so that someone in your party parks at CRNorth and someone else drives to the start at CRS. If that is not a possibility we would prefer that you park at Council Rock Southh High School on race morning. We will offer shuttles back to the start at Council Rock South. Baggage will be portageded to Council Rock North 10 minutes before the start of the race, to be picked up after you cross the finish line. There is no return bussing service for spectators. Please consider carpooling to alleviate parking congestion, as there is an Athletes Helping Athletes football game at Council Rock North immediately after the ROCK RUN awards presentations

Advanced packet pick-up and late registration will be held at Orangetheory Fitness - Newtown Studio on Black Friday afternoon, times TBD

 

HYDRATION STATION:

Orangetheory Fitness will be manning a hydration station along Richboro-Newtown Road path, between the Tyler Park Entrance and the half way point
