Get your purple on and come join us for this fun run in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease at The Shortest Run For The Longest Day. The Longest Day is a fundraising and awareness event for the Alzheimer’s Association that occurs each year on or around the Summer Solstice. Thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related diseases through various activities in support of The Longest Day.
There will be two options for this FUN run. Option 1 is a .5k run (yes there is a decimal in front of that). Option 2 is a 2.62 mile “full marathon” run. Both races will begin and end at Switchback Brewery and will feature a “water” stop with with milk and donuts at the turnaround point. Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to stop and enjoy your donut as this is not a timed event. Be sure to stick around after the race and have a little fun with us at the brewery. Food and drink is not included with your donation, but $1 from every pint sold during the event will be donated to the cause and there will be food trucks available to purchase food.
Please note that this is a donation based event. There is no fee to register. The recommended minimum donation per participant is $10. A button to complete your donation will be available on your registration confirmation page. The link to the donation site will also be in the registration confirmation email.
