The SOUND TIGERS 5K Run or Walk

WE ARE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER! THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AS WE CLEARED OUR NEW DATE. The 5th Annual Sound Tigers 5K will benefit The American Cancer Society. Our 5k course will begin and end at the Webster Bank Arena and run along Long Island Sound through scenic Seaside Park. 
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR NEW PRICING $25 thru May 15 for ages 19 & over. There will be NO ONLINE FEE during this time. $30 May 16 to Sept 30. (online fee will be added) $35 from October 1 to October 5  including on site pickup Oct 5 if available. $40 Race Day 10/6 (Credit Card and Cash only on Race Day) $25 for ages 18 and under for the entire time- including race day Kids Fun Run (weather permitting) around the Arena is free of charge All paid participants will receive a race performance t-shirt, a chip-timed bib, a ticket to a Sound Tigers game and much more!

 

OUR CHARITIES The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer movement unites communities to support each other. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women in the US and is second only to lung cancer as a cause of cancer death among women. We honor those touched by the disease and raise awareness and funds as we take steps closer to a world without breast cancer. With the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer, we’re delivering breakthrough breast cancer research, supporting patients and caregivers through every step of their cancer journey, and so much more. We encourage all 5K participants to also join us on Sunday, October 20th at Sherwood Island State Park for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Fairfield County. PACKET PICKUP Saturday 9am- 11am at Webster Bank Arena. You may pick up for others. Teams will be able to coordinate separate packet pick-ups if necessary.   AWARDS Men's and Womens Champions: Special Prize Certificates Tickets to future Sound Tigers games

RACE DIRECTOR  Marty Schaivone - Since 1991 MS Running Productions has been involved with charity events.  MSRP also directs other races in Bridgeport- The Park City Classic 5k & 5 miler May 26, Jason Albarelli Memorial 5k June 7, Run for the Rock 5k June 9, Habitat for Humanity 5k Oct 12, and over 40 more in CT. The 2019 schedule can be seen at www.hitekracing.com/msrunning    Refund and Transfer Policy Consistent with the running industry standard all entry fees are NON-refundable and cannot be deferred toward a future event. Bib numbers are NON-transferable. The selling and/or giving away of a bib number is not allowed and will result in disqualification of both the original bib owner and the runner using the bib number. Both runners will be prohibited from participation in this event for a minimum of two years. Transferring or accepting another bib not only delays our emergency services, it also affects the results of every participant. Severe Weather & Cancellation Policy: This event is being held rain or shine. Weather forecasts are tracked for heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds, snow, etc. If there is a possibility of threatening weather, information will be posted on our web site and social media pages to alert participants of possible changes. We will also do our best to send an e-blast to all pre-registered registrants that have supplied us with a viable email address. Severe weather or a forecast to become severe during the event could change the race start time. This event could be postponed or canceled. No Refunds given if the event is delayed, postponed, or canceled due to severe weather or by direction of Facility Directors, Park Services, Police, or State Officials.
