Tough Love Valentine's 2x 2 Mile Relay

Show your love.. by running a tough 2 x 2 mile relay in Van Cortlandt Park!   Each runner does a two mile loop, starting on the flats and run over Cemetery Hill. Race finish at the iconic Tortoise + Hare statue.

Course may be affected by weather conditions: if snow/ice make Cemetery Hill impassable, course may remain on the flats loop.  In the event of extreme snow/ ice, race may be canceled, in which case we will offer a refund or credit towards another VCTC race registration. 

Fabulous awards for overall and age group winners! Bronx Ale House $25 gift certificate to overall winning team. A pair of golden Tortoise + Hare statues to: 1st Overall teams (co-ed, female, & male), and to a team selected by raffle. (Raffle team must be present at awards ceremony.) Awards Ceremony immediately follows race. Overall winners (co-ed, female & male) receive a cake and top 3 Age Group winners receive carrot cake muffins, all from the delicious Lloyd's Carrot Cake.

Sign up as a 2 person team

$20 per team in advance; $25 on race day.  

Post-race celebration location: The Bronx Alehouse 216 W 238th St; Bronx NY 10463  Please join us after the race, food and drink will be available for purchase.  The alehouse opens at 11:30 am.

Notes on registering as a team on RunSignUp:  Select “myself” and enter your own info.  Then click “Add Another Registrant” and enter your teammates info.  Click “Continue”, sign the waiver, and this brings you to the team page.  For the first person click “Create a New 2 person team”, for type select “2 person Relay team!” and give yourself a team name.  For the second person click “Join the same 2 person team”.
