Trick or Treat Trot - Atwater

Buhach Colony High School's Cross Country team invites you, your family, and friends to the 2nd Annual Trick or Treat Trot.  The event will be held at the BCHS campus in Atwater, CA on Saturday, October 26th.  The event is from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

11:00am = Registration Begins for the FREE Kids Half Mile(and Trick or Treat Stations) and the 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk.

11:30am = FREE Kids Half Mile Race  Kids 10 and under run free!  Bring them in their favorite costume and after they run the Half Mile Race, they can visit each Trick or Treat Stations set up throughout the venue. For participant safety, all events will be held on the campus of BCHS.  The registration area, the Start/Finish Line, and the Trick or Treat Stations will all be located in the student parking lot in front of the swimming pool.  There will be lots of candy and smiles for all the kids.  This is a family-friendly event and there will be lots of children present so we ask that your costumes not be too scary or bloody. All you have to do is register your child on race day.

12 Noon = 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk  This is open to anyone between the ages of 1 and 101.  This run/walk will consist of two 1 Mile loops around the baseball, football, and soccer fields (see the map below).  Because there is only a $10 fee for this event, there will be no giveaways such as t-shirts or medals, instead all registered participants will receive a raffle ticket for several prizes which will be drawn at the end of the race.  To participate in the 2 Mile Run/Walk, you must follow the instructions on runsignup.com. 

Where will your donations go?  50% of your donation will go to support local high school distance runners.  The other 50% will be donated to the recently established Amanda Garcia Memorial Scholarship.  Amanda was an Atwater HS graduate and former distance runner that recently lost her battle with cancer.  Coach Rhoades (AHS XC & Track) and the Garcia family have set up this scholarship to honor the memory of Amanda and to inspire other young runners to follow their dreams.  We thank you for your kind donations.
