United Way of Fairfield County Annual 5K and 2 Mile Walk

Since our race is on Veteran’s Day this year, please join us in saluting our Veterans. The willingness of America’s Veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude. We honor all who served. Veterans can run or walk for only $10. All Veterans wishing to participate in the Veterans Day parade are welcome to stay. The parade starts at the fairgrounds beginning at 10:30.

Since 1997, the United Way 5K and 2 Mile walk has been a community favorite. 

This event brings over 500 participants annually to the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in Lancaster. It's a closed 5K course. Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second and third place male and female finishers for the 5K. Cash prizes are also provided to the first, second and third place overall walking finishers.

Our traveling Participation Trophy has become very popular with local businesses. Trophies are awarded to the company with the largest number of participants (either walk or run) based on company size. It's a great opportunity to bring people together.

 

Additional Race Information
Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup

7:00-8:15 a.m. at the Fairgrounds. Race start is at the Grandstands at 8:30 am.

Awards

5K: Prize Money to the Top 3 Overall Male/Female finishers, and awards to Top 3 per age group both male/female. 5K age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

2 Mile: Prize Money to the Top 3 Overall Male/Female finishers.

5K Corporate Teams

($60 per 3 member team) Team entries must include 3 individuals, one of which must be female. Teams will compete for the coveted United Way 5K Traveling Trophy. Each individual’s time will be added for overall team time. The fastest time is the winner. Traveling Trophies

Three (3) trophies will be awarded to the organizations with the largest number of participants based on company size. 0 - 25 Employees, 26 - 99 Employees, 100+ Employees.
