23rd Annual United Way of St. Charles 5K Bridge Run offers a panoramic view from atop the Hale Boggs Mississippi River Bridge. The United Way of St. Charles Bridge Run is the largest road race across the Mississippi River in the nation. 

The United Way of St. Charles 5K Bridge Run is the kick off event of the Louisiana Bridge Run Series

and is the Louisiana Senior Olympics Games 5K State Championship. 

Where:   

Start of 5K is at the East Bank Bridge Park, 9762 River Road, Destrehan  ( * NOTE - Day of race packet pickup, registration and suggested parking is at the West Bank Bridge Park ONLY ) 

Finish of 5K is in front of the West Bank Bridge Park, 13825 RIver Road, Luling 

Event Day Time Schedule: 

6:30 am - Race Day Registration and Packet PIckup ( race number bib and t-shirt ) OPENS  ( West Bank Bridge Park )

6:30 am -  First Bus leaves West Bank Bridge Park to Start LIne area  at the East Bank Bridge Park 

7:55 am - Last Bus leave to Start line area ( East Bank Bridge Park ) 

8:25 am - National Anthem, Introduction of guest Run/Walk stater 

8:30 am - Scheduled start of the 23rd Annual United Way of St. Charles 5K Bridge Run/Walk

Entry fees ( Payable to the United Way of St. Charles )

$30.00 by Feb 28th, $35.00 by April 1st, $40.00 at packet pickup and on the day of race ( ages 18-64 ) 

$15.00 by Feb 28th , $20.00 by April 1st, $25.00, $30.00 at packet pickup and on the day of race ( Youth ages 17-under or Senior ages 65-over )   * VALID proof of age required at packet pickup

ON-LINE Registration ends on Monday, April 1st . 

Parking: All participants are suggested to park in the St. Charles Parish School board office parking lots on Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway  or at the West Bank Bridge Park ( west side lot )..  Participants parking on the East Bank can park at the Harry Hurst Middle School and St. Charles Borromeo

* NOTE:   Registration and Packet Pickup in setup ONLY at the West Bank Bridge Park /  There is NO registration or packet pickup available at the East Bank Bridge park - Start line area on the day of race. .

* Should the weather or other safety concern issues warrant an alternate ground level course on the West Bank to be used or in event of extreme circumstances, the race my be cancelled or postponed and the " no refund " policy will be applied.

Thursday, April 4th ( 10:00 am - 4:00 pm ) at the United Way Office, 13207 River Road, Luling  

Friday, April 5th (  8:00 am - Noon ) at the United Way Office ,  13207 River Road, Luling 

Friday, April 5th ( 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm ) at the West Bank Bridge Park, 13825 River Road, Luling 

Saturday, April 6th ( opening at 6:30 am ) at the West Bank Bridge Park , 13825 River Road, Luling

* Please arrive early on the day of race to allow time for bus transportation 

CHIP TIMED EVENT:   Assist us in accurately scoring the event , please check name label on back of your race number bib to confirm that name bib is issued to is person wearing the bib.  Please have race number bib pinned to FRONT only and visible before crossing the finish line.  If picking up bibs for other team / company/ group members, please cross check name label on back of each bib as you distribute bib numbers.

Transportation ( FREE ) is provided from the West Bank Bridge Park ( Yellow school buses ) beginning at 6:30 am thru 7:45 am . Please consider arriving early to board first buses to avoid lines at later stages of pre-race boarding.  Post race buses will take participants back to Start side ( East Bank Bridge  Park ) from 9:45 am till Noon for those that parked at start side. 

TEAM Challenge:  The company with the most pre-registered entrants ( by April 1st ) will be awarded the " Team Challenge " trophy.  Remember to denote your Company / Team Name on registration form or when registering ON-LINE.
