About the event
A 5K Run/Walk to Benefit the Veterans Drop-In Center in Rockford, IL. This is our 3rd annual run and will be held at a new location this year at Sportscore One, Veterans Memorial Park to allow for a larger start line and more room! The run is on a flat, fast, beautiful course along the Rock River. This run is USATF certified and is a 2015 RRR Circuit Race. Race fee is $25 per participant, $10 for children 14 and under.
Discount for RRR and Rockford Wildcats.
Shirts are guaranteed if registered by 10-19-15.
No strollers or dogs please!
Our cool dog tag awards are given to the top male and female winners, along with the top 3 male and female in each of the following age categories:
0-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
We are also giving special awards to the top Veteran in each of the following categories: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and top overall.
Special prize for most patriotic apparel!
Opening ceremonies begin at 8:30 am with our shotgun start at 9 a.m.
